Here are two fun and cute pages to add to any memory book! Students reflect on their "favorites" from this year and write about their plans for this summer.
Here is a cute and free Author's Purpose poster that you can blow up and display in your classroom!
I just love "Mindcap Tiler"! It's a program that allows you to take any PDF file and blow it up to a desired poster size. If you're interested you can purchase it here - http://www.mindcad.com/tiler.html - for $5.
Here is a free guiding handout to help your students research information on a country of their choice. Website access to: http://kids.nationalgeographic.com/places/find, is necessary in order to complete this activity. After doing the research students can be creative and create a poster to display their learning of a country. This activity is included in my "Beginner's World Atlas" Harcourt unit.
This writing activity includes an informational sheet about the 3 main types of clouds (cirrus, cumulus, stratus) and a handout for students to write their own report about clouds.
You could also have students construct each type of cloud by using cotton balls and gray paint (for stratus clouds) and pasting them onto a piece of blue construction paper along with their informational write up squares.
This activity is also included in my "Abuela" unit. :-)
Use this "Fill in the Blank" writing template to guide your students in writing a mystery story about an object that turns up missing at home. Students can recopy this template on paper and add an illustration for a nice finished writing product to hang up in your classroom! I love using this template when we read "The Pine Park Mystery"! :-)
Here is a free animal themed ten frame game to help students gain a greater understanding of numbers by relating them to the anchors of 5 and 10. The game boards and teacher directions for assembly and management are included. This game is easy to assembly and only requires counters outside of the materials provided with this file.
Use these sentence strips to have students practice choosing the correct singular or plural noun to correctly complete each sentence for a quick, easy, and engaging lesson. :-)
