Country Research Activity - Free!

Here is a free guiding handout to help your students research information on a country of their choice. Website access to: http://kids.nationalgeographic.com/places/find, is necessary in order to complete this activity. After doing the research students can be creative and create a poster to display their learning of a country. This activity is included in my "Beginner's World Atlas" Harcourt unit.

Types of Clouds - Free Report Writing Activity

This writing activity includes an informational sheet about the 3 main types of clouds (cirrus, cumulus, stratus) and a handout for students to write their own report about clouds.

You could also have students construct each type of cloud by using cotton balls and gray paint (for stratus clouds) and pasting them onto a piece of blue construction paper along with their informational write up squares.

This activity is also included in my "Abuela" unit. :-)

Thanks for downloading!

Money - Freebie

So, I just started introducing money (counting coin collections) in my classroom this week. Some of my students are struggling and I've been having a hard time finding quality practice handouts to use in the classroom or as extra homework. How come so many of the resources I find include such few practices? So... of course I decided to make a few to use in my classroom! I hope to continue to add to this and eventually have a nice unit for counting coins. However, in the mean time here's a few free handouts from the many that I have created so far. I hope you find these helpful! :)
